The King Tides Cardigan blends timeless style with a modern touch, making it a versatile piece you’ll reach for again and again. Its relaxed, comfortable fit pairs effortlessly with jeans, dresses, or skirts—and you can wear it buttoned up as a pullover.
Thoughtful finishing details give the cardigan a polished, professional look. The stripe design is highly adaptable—you can work them throughout the body and sleeves or limit them to just the upper two-thirds of the sweater for a unique effect. Or make the stripes farther apart and a bit wider?
The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. The yoke and body are knitted back and forth, followed by the front plackets in an easy double-knit finish and a quick bind-off. Collar stitches are then picked up along the cast-on edge to provide structure and stability, ensuring the neckline keeps its shape.
King Tides shines in any yarn that meets gauge and offers good drape with a smooth texture.
The instructions are written and the pattern has been professionally tech-edited and tested.
