Please note: the errata only apply to the Inside Crochet published version. The PDF version from PlanetJune is 100% correct and written in standard (US) terminology together with my usual assembly photos etc.

Extra notes from June after seeing the magazine: here are a few minor things that that may cause confusion (please note that these only apply to the version published in Inside Crochet using UK terms, not the PlanetJune PDF version):

• Under yarn substitutions it says to use any DK yarn - please don’t do that! The pattern is written for a worsted weight yarn (I believe that’s known as 10-ply in the UK) and all the colour changes will show through between the stitches if you use a lighter-weight DK yarn. (Or, if you want to use a DK yarn, go down a hook size or two to compensate.)

• The magazine gives instructions for a ‘magic loop’ but my pattern uses a ‘magic ring’ - don’t be confused, these are the same thing :)

• Beak: It says to sl st into the magic ring and then 1ch - don’t do both!

• All pieces: My ‘1ch’ after the magic ring throughout the pattern is the equivalent of the ‘sl st’ in IC’s magic loop instructions. I don’t know why this wasn’t standardised!
