Kingston Lacy
This pattern is available from Payhip via the pattern website linked above, or from LoveCrafts here - priced in Euros.
Kingston Lacy is a broad triangular shawl knitted from the bottom tip upwards and it is finished with an applied garter stitch edge worked along the top to both stabilise the edge and match the garter stitch selvedge on the other two edges.
Using the reversible lace stitch used as an insert on my Badbury Shawl, creates a lovely all over lace pattern with great drape.
The all over stitch makes it both a meditative knit and flexible in terms of yarn weight and I’ve included instructions to work this pattern up in 100g of your choice of lace, 4ply/fingering or DK, making it perfect for shopping your stash.
This shawl is named after the Kingston Lacy estate of which Badbury Rings, after which my previously shawl was named, was a part.
