This pattern is written as ‘One size fits many’ but there are helpful hints for adjusting the coverage of the poncho

This asymmetrical poncho is made up of two rectangles that are seamed together in such a way that with a seam on the shoulder, the piece falls effortlessly and slightly askew for a look of casual comfort.
The main body pieces are knit in stockinette, with the exposed edges designed to use the natural curl of the stockinette instead of fighting it. The turtle neck is knit up separately in the round (pattern suggests just the right stretchy cast on and bind off) in 2x2 rib, on smaller needles to keep it from ending up too bulky. If turtle necks aren’t your thing, you can skip that part and leave the neck opening with the natural roll.

This poncho is worked with 2 strands of fingering weight yarn held together throughout.

Needles: US size 9 for the body and US 5 16” circulars or DPN for the neck; additional needles needed to execute the stretchy bind off for the turtle neck.
Notions: Tapestry needle for seaming pieces together.

The poncho shown was done using Loops and Threads Woolike in Navy. It is super soft, and gives the finished poncho a lovely movement and drape.

Finished Dimensions:
Each Body Piece: about 22” W x 33” L; blocked
Neck about 22” around with little stretch
Assembled Poncho: About 30” straight down from neck seam to where longest point hits
