Kinton is a tiny town outside of Portland. It was named after Peter Kindt, a early farmer in the area.
If one wished to make a hat they could fold up, one should work the ribbed pattern for at least 4” (10 cm) more than shown. One could change the circumference by changing gauge but the hat shown fits a 20” (50 cm) to 24” (61 cm) head.
This is the third in a series of hats featuring dyers from west of Mountain time. (The price will change as each pattern is added. Individual patterns will be for sale after New York Sheep and Wool 2016.)
