Shaped as a rectangle with armholes, this vest is both fun and easy to knit. It’s worked from side to side in a luxurious silk-blend yarn that provides plenty of elegant drape. To minimize the interruption of the lace pattern, the armholes are marked with waste yarn, the same as afterthought sock heels, then the waste yarn is removed to expose live stitches for the armbands. The edges are finished with a few simple
rows of garter stitch. As a bonus, this vest is completely reversible.
