When spring peeks around the corner and temperatures rise, the mood in people also rises. Festivals are being prepared for, traditions are calling. These spring/early summer activities all over the country have one thing in common: when the sun disappears behind the clouds, it’s time for a little cover. The Kirwa shawl is just that —a little cover—but with the looks of a whole lot of tradition. Kirwa is also taking easy knitting to a whole new level. This pattern, worked from the top down, does not even need a chart. Simple yarn-over increases are alternated with double-yarn-over rows, hiding, but at the same time highlighting the pi increase within the design.
