Kissable baby cardi
Buy 3, get 1 free: add any four of my patterns to your cart and the cheapest will be free.
A button-down vest is just the thing to keep new babies warm: easy to put on, easy to layer. A simple hugs-and-kisses cable panel makes it extra cozy and cute!
Add sleeves to create a cardigan for cooler weather – and why not play around with colour blocking and a contrast trim? Look for yarn with warmth, elasticity and great stitch definition.

Yarn requirements:
DK weight yarn, preferably with a high wool content. This is a great stash-buster, as you need only a small amount and can combine colours to good effect. Samples use the following:
For sleeveless vest:
Yarn A: Rowan Pure Wool DK (discontinued; 100% wool, 125m / 137yds per 50g) x 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) balls in #507, Blue.
One suitable substitute would be Debbie Bliss Rialto DK in #60, Sky.
Yarn B: Debbie Bliss Rialto DK (100% merino, 105m / 115 yds per 50g) x 1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1) ball in #51, Indigo.
For cardigan:
Yarn A: Rowan Purelife Organic Wool (discontinued; 100% wool, 125m / 137yds per 50g) x 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) balls in Tannin.
One suitable substitute would be Grignasco Sport 90 in #865 (mid brown).
Yarn B: Grignasco Sport 90 (100% wool, 125m / 137yds per 50g) x 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 3) balls in #887 (light brown).
Optional: a small amount of Grignasco Sport 90 in #893 (orange).
