Three beautiful hues are woven together using intarsia and a hint of shadow knitting to create this strikingly graphical triangle shawl. It’s an elegant design with a whimsical nod to stunt kites soaring over sand dunes. The detailed instructions are easy to follow, and as the threads are all carried along you’ll have no ends to weave in. The Fibre Co. Cumbria Fingering, a merino/brown masham/mohair blend, creates crisp lines while knitting up into a soft, cosy fabric.

Needle
3 mm/US#2.5 circular needle, 60 cm (24 in) or longer

Notions
3 st markers

GAUGE
24 stitches and 40 rows = 10 cm (4 in)
In stocking stitch (= knit on right side, purl on wrong side)
3 mm/US#2.5 needle

Aim for a tight fabric. This is crucial for the pattern to work. The shawl length is adjustable. You may work more or less repeats to get to the desired length. So focus on st tension over accurate gauge. You might need to plan in some extra yarn, depending on your gauge and the number of repeats worked.

Kite Runner – ein elegantes Accessoire, inspiriert von Drachen, die in den Himmel aufsteigen. Das Ziel ist ein festes Gestrick. Dies ist notwendig, damit das Muster gut herauskommt.
Es ist sehr einfach möglich, die Tuchgröße anzupassen, indem Wiederholungen hinzugefügt oder weggelassen werden. Daher empfiehlt es sich, die Maschenprobe nach den Eigenschaften des Gestricks auszurichten anstatt zu versuchen, die angegebene Maschenprobe zu erreichen. Ggf. mehr Garn als angegeben einplanen.
