Broken rib and twisted knit stitches make for a curve hugging pullover with unique textured cables. The Kitsap pullover is worked flat from the bottom up in pieces with drop sleeves and bound off shoulder shaping. The wide boat neck is finished simply with a bind off as the texture patterns are based on ribbing and lie flat.

I knew that a book on cables really needed a deeply cabled pullover, but I also felt that for the textured cables to really pop out I wanted bands of simple texture. I kept this texture as a twisted rib and I really love how it keeps the vertical lines of the cables flowing but also give it a modern horizontal stripe look too. This pullover made me think of rocks and fissures when I was knitting it, how the cracks and textures of a cliff seems to move apart and then flow back together creating a surface that at once has individual motifs but also allover consistent texture.
