Dramatic twisting cables embellish the neckline of this elegant pullover, while smaller cables add delicate accents to the cuffs and hem. The silhouette, with modified drop shoulders, is simple, yet sophisticated, making this sweater an instant classic.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Bust - 37½ (39¾, 41¾, 43¾, 46, 48¾)(50¾, 52¾, 55, 57, 59¼)“.
Intended to be worn with 2-4” of ease.

YARN: 1165 (1200, 1285, 1335, 1440, 1500)(1610, 1670, 1780, 1830, 1880) yds DK weight wool or wool blend with good stitch definition and soft drape.
Shown in Valley Yarns “Westfield” (60% Extrafine Merino Wool, 20% Silk, 20% Yak; 120yds/50g) - 113 Teal. 10 (10, 11, 12, 12, 13)(14, 14, 15, 16, 16) balls.
NEEDLES: U.S. size 6 (4mm) circular needle or straight needles.
U.S. size 6 (4mm) 16” (40cm) or 24” (60cm) circular needle.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.
OTHER: Cable needle, stitch holders and/or waste yarn, stitch markers, removable stitch markers, tapestry needle.
GAUGE: 23 sts/32 rows = 4” in stockinette, blocked.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include cables, German short rows, 3-needle bind off, m1 increases, decreases, and picking up stitches.
CONSTRUCTION: Back and front are knit separately from the bottom up. Shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined with 3-needle bind off. Stitches are picked up for the modified drop sleeves and knit flat to the cuffs. Sides and underarms are seamed. Stitches are picked up for ribbing at the neck.
