Your kitty just may meow with delight if you knit this “Kitty Placemat” for him/her!

Sample was worked in Cascade 220, but any worsted weight yarn will work - even cotton. 4 colors are needed with 200 yards each. I used lime green, black, hot pink and yellow/gold, but you certainly can choose ones that you prefer.

The lettering and fish are added once the placemat is finished by using duplicate stitch.

A garter stitch border with mitered corners surrounds the placemat for a perfect finish.
