This super easy square can be used as a shawl, or as a baby / travel blanket.
By folding at different angles, you can change the look of the shawl and play with the interaction of the two colors.

Super easy to knit - either in rows or rounds, depending on how cool you (and the yarn) are with steeking.

Knitting the shawl in rows only requires you to follow a chart, all techniques are linked to resources and tutorials.

The steeked shawl will have you do a crochet steek and knit on the applied facing to cover the cut.

I highly recommend Lamana Como for this project since it’s machine washable (non-superwash) merino and also works for steeking.
My baby nephew is sleeping under his blanket every day, and his mom wears it around the neck when they go out to always have it handy. It’s been in the washer a few times already, and it is still the super loveable blankie that they cherish.
