Paul Klee’s Magic Square series of paintings was the inspiration for this easy, fun, bold and highly textured design for knee-high socks. A stockinette stitch base is broken up by stacks of three reverse stockinette stitch welts for the leg, creating lots of movement and stockinette stitch “bubbles” that let the hand-painted colors of the yarn shine.

Colorway shown is Fire in the Evening.

Sizes 7.5 (8. 8.5, 9)“ foot circumference require 2 (2, 3, 3) skeins of yarn.
