This pattern provides an option for a slightly more fitted cloche style hat or slouchier beret style hat. You start with the band, join it then pickup around it and work both the crown and brim in the round.

There’s a range of potential bow embellishments included or you can simply embellish it with a vintage button or brooch.

A nice lofty wool is ideal to emphasise and make the pattern ‘pop’ and to give the hat structure.
