Our first-ever Knitmas in July pattern is an asymmetrical triangle shawl designed to be the perfect summer knit!

It is suitable for most knitters, from adventurous beginners to advanced.

When it comes to summer knitting, I have a pretty specific list of pattern requirements. It must be portable, light, and simple enough to work on at family get-togethers, beach days, and road trips. With that in mind, I made sure the Knitmas in July KAL pattern is everything I look for in a summer knit:

  • Simple Stitches
  • Easy to memorize
  • Portable
  • Just the right amount of pizazz to make it a stunner and keep you knitting row after row

I hope you’ll join us in our Ravelry group Nomadic Knits or our Facebook group as we knit together throughout the month of July!

GENERAL PROJECT NOTES

~ This asymmetrical shawl is knit flat, primarily in garter stitch, making it the perfect project to bring along on your summer adventures!

~ In total, only twelve rows vary from the easy-to-memorize two-row repeat that encompasses 98% of the pattern.

~ You can cut or carry your yarn when changing colors. The i-cord edge makes it fast and easy to hide your ends with minimal weaving in.

~A pattern tracking PDF that walks you through the pattern row by row is included.

~ Video tutorials will be available once the KAL begins.
