Knitricity
Definition of Knitricity – noun: Energy needed to get a knitter through tough times – just pull out the needles, cast on a new hat, and feel the power of knitting!
This slightly slouchy, stranded hat, reminiscent of pulsing electricity, knits up quick in a worsted yarn, such as Malabrigo Rios. The brim is knit in a modified twisted rib for lots of texture. Choose from a deep, folded brim for plenty of warmth, or a shallower 2 inch brim. Then the fun begins with an easy, yet engaging color chart. The crown is finished with simple decreases in the main color.
Stitches used in the pattern: knit, knit through the back loop, purl, k2tog, sk2p, slip
Yarn requirements: For the medium size and a folded, 4 inch brim, I used 49 grams of Teal Feather and 44 grams of Sandbank. Around half a skein of each color in Rios should be sufficient.
Colorwork is charted only. Detailed, written instructions included for the rest of the pattern.
