Knitted Argyle is New U.S. Fashion
A smart new American fashion, the Argyle jacket, is regarded as high fashion for late afternoon and after-dark wear.
Materials: 11 (11-12) 1oz. skeins Lincoln Mills “Daphne” crochet wool; the original was worked in 7 (7-8) skeins 1oz. white, 4 (4-4) skeins 1oz. black (this is the only wool which should be used); 1 pair each Nos. 10 and 12 knitting needles (long).
Tension: 7½ sts. and 9 rows to 1 in.
Measurements: To fit 32 in. (34-36 in.) bust. Length from top of shoulder (excluding band) 18½ (18¾-21) in.; length of side seam (excluding band) 10¼ ( 10¼-12¼) in.; width across sleeve at upper arm 8 (8¼-8½) in.
