This is a beginner project, the materials to make this bag are included with the kit. The pattern is given twice, once without abbreviations for beginners & again in the conventional abbreviated form. There is also a chart given for cable design.

Instead of making a cable design, there is also the option of sewing buttons to the bag.

This book includes directions & several illustrations of learning the knitting stitches.
