Knitted felt hat with rolled edge
The pattern and yarn came together as a kit at Woolfest 2008.
Easy to knit, huge when finished, it looked like a big string bag. Washed at 60 degrees in machine with a bath towel to get the boucle felted effect. You are supposed to find a pudding bowl or similar with measurements slightly larger than your head circumference. I could only find a pan and thought the flat base would make the hat look odd so I wore it instead for a couple of hours then left it to dry on the windowsill.
Warning: dogs like the smell of wet wool, keep out of reach until dry!
