For each jacket you will need 28 yards of colored mercerized string weight crochet cotton for wide stripes, base and edging. 14 yards of white for the narrow strips. Use a set of No 12 double pointed steel knitting needles and a No 8 Steel crochet hook for edging.
No 8 steel crochet hook is 1.5mm
I believe a DPN size 12 is 2.25mm
