Knitted Lace Ball
by Judy Gibson
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This ball is knitted pole-to-pole in short-rowed sections, then dipped in a stiffening agent such as starch or diluted glue, and dried over a balloon. Any size yarn of any type could be used; this pattern recommends fingering weight cotton to make a ball about 6 inches in diameter.
There are also instructions for adding a lace pattern here.
