Knitting Bag
This pattern dates from 1934. It originally appeared a three-part pattern for a “Sport Coat – Alpine Hat and Knitting Bag, 1. Style No.222” for “Yarncraft” in the American Magazine, November, 1934.
The suggested yarn was “Germantown Zephyr” on “bone needles 7 mm” with a lining of “Sateen” and a “wooden bag top” or handles.
There is no gauge given but an estimate of the finished size of the bag can be made from the photograph in the pattern or made to adjust to fit the slats in the wooden handles. A modern worsted weight yarn would work well with the 7mm size needles.
