Knitworthy was born because I’m married to a rather picky man. I knitted him a sweater in secret that he wasn’t actually too keen on, once it was done.
(I know.) But happily, my teenage son adored it, and wore it all of last winter.
I was so over the moon at how much my son appreciated the sweater. That he was so “knit worthy.”
At the same time, I had been playing around with sketches and ideas for something that my husband would actually like to wear.

I showed a sketch to him that he instantly praised. And so, thinking of him and my son, the Knitworthy Sweater was born.

This was as far back as November 2022, and it has been a long time in the making.

I wanted to ensure that everything about this one was perfect. The style. The fit. The ease of following the instructions.

And of course, giving my Terrific Team of Testers as much time as they needed, to get this sweater done.
Because, testing for me, deadlines are not set in stone, and knitting should always be a pleasure, not a stress.

I love all of the various Knitworthy Sweaters created, beyond words.
And I feel so very blessed to be able to share them with you.

The Knitworthy Sweater is a size inclusive pattern. It is a Gansey style sweater, which my testers proved to be perfect for any gender, and this made me so happy!
It can be created with a fitted look or a looser fit. The choice is yours.

4mm and 5mm circular needles are needed, along with 8 stitches markers, plus a Contrasting beginning of round marker.

This pattern has been fully tested and tech edited too.
