Koigu Fair Isle Cowl
A wide, stranded, colour-work cowl with a single twist for shape, knit from Koigu KPPPM ‘ends’ or mini-skeins. This cowl is constructed in a tube using the fair isle technique of two colours only at one time. The reverse or ‘stranded’ side of the work is hidden inside the tube. The Koigu KPPPM, now available as mini-skeinettes, gives the unique colour appeal.
Materials: 300 grams of KPPPM in assorted colourways or 60 mini skeinettes.
Gauge: This cowl was knit on 3mm needles to achieve a gauge of 28 stitches over 10 cm (4 inches).
Size: The knitted measurements of the cowl after blocking are 89 cm (35 inches) long and 33 cm (13 inches) wide.
Skills required: Knitting in the round, two colour stranding, provisional cast on, kitchener stitch.
