While my sister was visiting Ireland, she picked up to bring back for me. The yarn reminded me of the black lava rock that can be found everywhere on the Big Island of Hawaii - hence the name Kona Raglan.

The Kona Raglan features an eyelet lace around the collar and with the raglan increases. It is made from the top-down in a seamless raglan construction, beginning at the collar, with sleeve stitches held on waste yarn while the body of the top is worked, then picked up to finish the sleeves.*

PATTERN INFORMATION:

• Slightly cropped, seamless construction.
• Top-down with raglan shaping.
• Sample shown in size 2 on 35” chest circumference with 1“ / 2.5 cm negative ease.

Materials:

• Main Body: US 5 (3.75 mm) in 24”/61cm or length preferred.
• US 5 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles or preferred method for sleeves.
• Ribbing: US 4 (3.5 mm) in 24”/61cm or length preferred.
• Ribbing for sleeves: US 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles or preferred method for sleeves.

Notions:

• Scrap yarn or stitch holder
• 4 - Stitch markers (1 - unique for BORM)
• Darning needle

Finished size: 30” (34, 38, 42)(46, 50, 54, 58)” / 75cm (85, 95, 105)(115, 125, 135, 145)cm bust circumference

To be worn with 0”- 1” 0-2.5cm of negative ease or 0”-4” 0-10cm of positive ease.

Gauge: 24 sts x 34 rows = 4”/10cm with US 5 (3.75 mm) in stockinette, blocked.
