Pay What Works: In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I and others provide in the making of this pattern. The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern that best reflects the work put into creating this design.

To purchase the pattern at a price point that is more accessible to you, use the coupon code at checkout listed next to the price point. The prices indicate the price you will pay, not the discount amount. No coupon code is needed for the highest price point.

AROHA1 - $4.50

AROHA2 - $5.40

AROHA3 - $7.20

Knitrino is a newly launched technology publishing interactive patterns. Knitrino is like Google Maps for knitting patterns: Click a stitch to see how to do it, highlight your current place, track your progress step by step, see charts in your yarn colors, see only your size, and more. Knitrino’s goal is to make knitting more accessible, and to help people grow into the knitters they aspire to be! This innovative app is for knitters longing for better pattern usability and navigation using small screens. It is available in both iOS and Android, download at:

About the pattern:
The Koru Cowl from designer Francoise Danoy is a beautiful colorwork cowl that will strengthen your colorwork skills! The Koru is a symbol in Te Ao Māori of new life, growth, strength and peace, with its spiral shape is based on the unfurling of the silver fern frond of the ponga plant. The cowl is nearly-symmetric about the center of the motif, and with long stretches of the resting color, you’ll grow your skills in stranded knitting and locked floats. And featuring Shetland Wool from Harrisville Designs in fingering weight, you’ll love this knit from cast on to bind off!

About the yarn:
We have a limited number of kits available for this cowl in the amazing yarn Francoise chose for this design in 100% virgin wool that will soften with every wash into your favorite accessory.

You can purchase the pattern or the pattern + kit directly in Knitrino. And as part of your pattern purchase, you’ll be invited to join our connected community for a KAL with a Zoom kick off on July 27th at 5 EDT (GMT -4) To get the pattern you need to install Knitrino from the appropriate app store if you haven’t yet.
