Kouki cardigan and hat are inspired by the pilot jacket and the hat. The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece to the underarms. Fronts and back are worked separately above underarms. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches. Sleeves and shawl collar are worked separately and attached at the end.
Make sure the wraps for the w&t short rows are picked up from the RS of work so that they are tucked on the WS of the work when they are knit or purled together.

Tension
22 sts and 29 rows to 10 cm over stocking stitch using 4mm needles.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obain correct tension.
