Koukla
Named for the Greek word for “doll”, this double-breasted babydoll sweater is flattering and just sweet enough not to give you a toothache. The fitted, empire-waist bodice is knit in pieces and seamed, then stitches are picked up from the cast-on edges and the skirt is worked down in one piece from there. The fronts and back are split to make room for pockets, which are worked as you go. Wear with your favorite skirt or with straight leg jeans under boots for a modern look.
Yarn requirements: 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins of Rowan Kid Classic in Lavender Ice (841); 945 (1070, 1195, 1320, 1445, 1570) yards
