The L train is a subway line in New York that travels from the Lower West Side to Brooklyn. The slow gradations of gray tones and the subway tile-look of this scarf inspired its urban name. The L-Train Scarf is designed using slow-striping Mini Mochi as a main color and Mini Solid as the contrast color. The mock plaid is created by carrying a slipped stitch across the contrast color. Alternating bands of garter and Stockinette stitches create texture and helps to flatten the finished blocked piece.
