Say hello to La La Lilacs! This cheerful spring shawl features bold mosaic flowers, breezy lace, and bright color contrast. The lace repeats are easy to memorize, and with one color worked at a time, it’s a relaxing, satisfying knit.

The shawl is an asymmetrical triangular shape, knitted sideways. The pattern is written to use most of the 2 skeins of yarn, but the size is easy to adjust by working more or fewer repeats (you will need more yarn if you want to make it bigger). The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or charts.

YARN: Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply
(100% Superwash Merino, 400 yd /110g)

• Main Color (MC) - green - Ghoulish
• Contrast Color (CC) - pink - Bougainvillea

Or any similar fingering weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors

NEEDLES: US #4 / 3.5 mm circular needles
(or as required to get the gauge)

NOTIONS: darning needle.

GAUGE: 20 sts x 40 rows = 4” in pattern. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect the yardage and finished size if different from above.

SIZING: wingspan 76”, depth 21”(after wet blocking)

• Compact (5 pages, 11 pt)

• Large print (12 pages, 20 pt), the version with big letters for tablets and e-readers; also for those knitters who have difficulties reading small font on paper.
