• Lion Brand Amazing medium (worsted) weight wool/acrylic yarn (1 3/4 oz/147 yds/50g per ball): 3 balls #215 roses
• Sizes H/8/5mm (for hat) and J/10/6mm (for cowl scarf) crochet hooks or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge
Size H hook: 4 sts & 4 rows = 2 inches

NOTE: According to the editors of Crochet! magazine, the correct gauge is 4 stitches & 4 rows/rounds = 2 inches, not what is printed in the magazine. The online version seems to be correct.

The foundation chain for the scarf should be 51, not 102.
