This delicate lace cardigan in Jamieson & Smith 2ply Shetland Lace was first published in The People’s Friend in 2003 as a commission from Jamieson & Smith Shetland Wool Brokers Ltd.
It features twist rib, lace and cable panels, set-in saddle shoulders, a short section of raglan shaping at the Back neck and a picot neck edge. The jumper version, not previously published, is also included in the pdf pattern.
Although it looks a little complicated, for a lace cardigan, it is a reasonably easy knit as it has no armhole shaping and the lace panels use fairly simple stitches - probably a good first lace cardigan for a budding lace knitter.
