Final size: 45-inch square (although size could be adjusted)

The shawl has a checkerboard of garter stitch and lace stitch squares with a fluted lace edge.

Materials:
4ozs Patons Super or Beehive Scotch Fingering 2-ply (a slightly thicker yarn could be used)
A pair of 3.75mm (No. 9) knitting needles

Tension stated in the pattern is 5 stitches to an inch - worked in 2-ply on No. 9 needles this means the stitches are quite loose. Needle size and wool weight could be adjusted to suit with more or less squares worked to adjust the final size of the shawl.
