This is the cover design on the original issue. A side-to-side cardigan pattern with a Versailles lace border on either side of the cardigan fronts. Contrast color accents require 200-300 yds. of a different color of the same yarn, which is included in the above yardage figures.

The original version was written for 3 sizes: Small 30-32, Med 34-36, Large 40-42. Finished chest: 39 (43, 46)“. Actual needle sizes were not given.

In issue 58, the finished chest size is 39, 42, 51”

Gauge in stockinette: 19S/30R=4 inches/10cm using the size needles that will give you this gauge. Gauge is listed as 18 stitches/ 32 rows per 4” in one of the less complicated lace patterns (eyelet stripe with larger needles).
