Lace Wall Hanging
©©º°¨¨¨¨¨¨°º©©º°¨¨¨¨¨¨°º©©
Being addicted to crochet lace, I knew it would be perfect though a tad unusual to use lace for an earring display, but I was aiming to make something original and unique.
Of course it can be used just as a simple decor / wall hanging to add charm to a wall, but I love it for the purpose I created it.
Skill level: easy but not for a beginner
Supplies:
Worsted yarn of your choice and a 4.00 mm hook (UK8) (US G/6).
(I worked with two strands of DK yarn to get bulkier/ heavier weight. You can by all means use bulky/chunky yarn (with their respective hooks) for a more expressive, statement hanging. The only difference would be in the size of the finished hanging than the one given in this tutorial. )
a tapestry needle for weaving tails and a dowel for hanging the piece
Stitches: chain (ch), chain space (ch-sp), skip (sk), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), 3-ch picot
American terminology used.
Measurements of finished hanging: 18 cm (7.08”) in length, at its longest point and 20 cm (7.87”) in width.
