Lacy Leaf Wrap
This is a luxury wrap which can take you from day to evening wear. An easy knit for the summer evenings with a touch of glamour for a night out.
It feels fabulous and the beads (you need 800-1000) give it the weight and appearance of a expensive item. The edging is slightly frilled and heavily beaded.
Tension is not vital for the wrap. Full written and charted instructions are given plus advice on adding beads and how to block your finished wrap, which turns your wrap into a very professional-looking piece of knitting.
The wrap starts with a provisional cast on - which ever method you prefer. I use the crochet method.
The yarn used is a silk/alpaca mix (I used 4 skeins of Artesano Silk Alpaca 4ply) which drapes beautifully and the washable beads are from Debbie Abrahams. This is a luxury wrap and deserves the best yarn you can afford.
You can make it in a finer 2ply lace yarn too.
The finished wrap should measure approx. 173cms / 68inches long and as wide as you can make it – between 45cms/18inches and 70cms/28inches depending on your yarn etc.
Your wrap will relax a little after blocking is completed.
I hope you find no mistakes in the pattern, as it has been test-knitted, but if you do please let me know so that I can correct them. Many thanks
