A simple little vest for in-between seasons is just what everyone needs. The pretty openwork lace pattern is surprisingly warm, and there is no shaping required, making this a suitable project for an adventurous beginning lace knitter. Maybe you need one in cotton, too, as a dainty shoulder-cover over a strappy sundress.

You will also need four buttons for the vest.

sizing note: There is a large jump between sizes to accommodate the width of the lace repeat. However, I have found this to be a highly flexible garment due to the stretchiness of the fabric, and further adjustments could be made by changing needle sizes.
