Lady
Lady is a seamless, top-down, ribbed, square-neck raglan with long, flared sleeves and side vents. I wanted to make something that was elegant and fashion forward, but relatively quick and relaxing to knit. Most of the body and sleeves are knit in the round. But the rib fabric means you won’t have to slow down much when knitting the flat parts near the hem and sleeve cuffs.
The sleeves are designed to be a little longer than average, which is how I like mine, but they can be easily shortened.
The pattern also contains suggestions for raising the neckline.
While I was designing this pattern I was reminded of Tempting by Jenna Adrono, the first sweater I ever completed!
Lady’s rib gives her plenty of shape, but the side vents keep the body from being too clingy. She’s perfect for all those holiday parties that are right around the corner.
