Lady Jessica is the most interesting character for me in Dune, she tries to choose the right path in a world that is constantly changing. Her choices divide between those she loves and loyalty; her Duke, her children, and the Bene Gesserit’s plans. I tried to capture her life in the mock short row heel where her life is reduced (to a few stitches) but then she is able to build again (as a Reverend Mother with the Fremen). I fell in love with the tattoos Jessica had as a Reverend mother in the new movie. It depicted the memories and knowledge gained from all her predecessors to me so I tried to capture that in this pattern. This pattern would work well in a variegated yarn or even using 2 yarns and changing colors every round. If you choose to use 2 colors, work the heel with just 1 color. Sock is worked toe up, pattern is a mixture of garter stitch and slipped stitches.
