This uniquely shaped shawl is a delightfully easy project to crochet. Inspired by Lady Sybil from Downton Abbey, and made using a Downton Abbey inspired colorway; this shawl embodies the modern and forward thinking young woman, alongside her more traditional roots. This shawl is a pinched rectangle, with hard lines punctuated by spots of lace. A lacy shell edging softens the blunt ends of the shawl. This shawl can be worn in a variety of ways, and if made in a bamboo or cotton, would be perfect for summer/springtime wearing. This pattern is worked in two identical panels utilizing crochet short rows, and then sewn together along the short end of the panels.

Yarn: 2 skeins ( 1,260 yards) of Indigo Dragonfly - MerGoat Lace (Heavy Lace - Light Fingering)
Or other equivalent weight yarn.
Hook: US size E - 3.5mm
Finished wingspan: 6 feet, 1.8 meters
