The C2C Ladybug Square is an advanced beginner pattern. You will need to have an understanding of the Half Double Crochet, and changing yarn colors before you begin. Materials
- Yarn - Red Heart With Love, worsted/category 4 (370yds/7oz), 100% Acrylic
- You will need 3 colors total
- White, Black and Red
- Substitutes : Any other worsted/category 4 yarn will work.
- Crochet Hook - H/8 (5.00mm) or crochet hook to meet gauge
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle
Notes
Experience Level = Beginner. It will help if you have a basic understanding of the Half Double Crochet, and Chain before starting this pattern.
C2C in HDC. This pattern is written for using the corner to corner method in Half Double Crochet. If you’re new to C2C, Sunflower Cottage Crochet has an excellent 3 Part Series.

Pattern Instructions Format. This pattern includes three types of instructions in the order as follows. 1. Written 2. Graph 3. Color Blocks
Gauge + Finished Size
6 x 6 Blocks = 4” x 4” Square
Create gauge using C2C in HDC
Gauge is measured BEFORE blocking
Finished Size
Width - 16”
Height - 16”
Finished size is measured before blocking.
