Lady's Footlets
Footlets or shoe liners for women.
To be worn with or without stockings.
Pattern is to be found on page 74 of Paton’s Woolcraft 14th Edition, with illustration (G) on page 69. The recommended wool here is 1 oz. Paton’s Beehive Fingering, while the earlier pamphlets recommend using 1 oz. Paton’s Super Crepe, 3-ply weight. Tension for rows in the booklet is given as 12 rows to the inch. The pamphlets have width tension only.
Note: the pattern for lady’s footlets in Woolcraft Editions 15 and 16, although similar, has a smaller needle size, a different tension, and a slightly more pointed toe.
