Lagoon Shawl
The triangular Lagoon Shawl has a mostly garter-stitch body, which represents peaceful waters. The wavy lace edges and stripes represent waves and breakers. This shawl is worked back and forth beginning at one corner and increased to the upper edge.

Finished Size 50” high, 48” wide across upper edge, and 70” along longest edge of triangle.
Yarn HiKoo CoBaSi (55% cotton, 21% elastic nylon, 16% bamboo, 8% silk; 220 yd 201 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #037 Gun Metal Grey (MC), 4 skeins; #010 Deep Turquoise (A) and #011 Indigo (B), 1 skein each. Yarn distributed by Skacel.
Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 20 sts and 34 rows = 4” in garter st.

NOTES
- This triangular shawl is worked in rows beginning at one corner, and is shaped by increasing at the beginning of right-side rows to the upper edge. The lace border is worked using the live stitches of the upper edge and stitches picked up along the straight selvedge at the end of right-side rows.
- A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
