Landes is a comfortable jacket all in shaker ribs, knitted from top to bottom without seam. We start with the back then the fronts are raised on the top of the shoulders. The body (back and front) is then worked together. The stitches of the sleeves are picked up and then worked in the round. Pockets can be sewn on at the end.

If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a worsted weight yarn.

NOTIONS: Needles sizes 3.5 mm/US 4 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches and 6 stitches markers.

NOTES : the pattern is knitted in Pénéloppe from De Rerum natura and Mohair soir from Knitting for olive.

Recommended ease : 6 to 10 inches or 15 to 25 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number. It is of course possible to choose to have a knit more or less close to the body and to knit a size with more or less ease than recommended.

Landes est une veste confortable toute en cotes perlées, tricotée de haut en bas sans couture. On commence l’empiècement par le dos puis les devants sont relevés sur le haut des épaules. Le corps (dos et devant) est ensuite travaillé ensemble. Les mailles des manches sont relevées puis travaillées en rond. Des poches peuvent être cousues à la fin.

MATERIEL : Aiguilles suggérées n° 3,5 (côtes) et n° 4 (corps et manches), une aiguille à laine, câbles pour mettre les mailles en attente et 6 anneaux marqueurs.

Il est conseillé de le porter avec une aisance positive de 15 à 25 cm. Pour choisir la meilleure taille, mesurer le tour de poitrine et ajouter l’aisance souhaitée, puis choisir la circonférence de poitrine finie la plus proche de ce nombre. Il est bien sur possible de choisir d’avoir un tricot plus ou moins près du corps et de tricoter une taille avec plus ou moins d’aisance que préconisée.
