How to crochet the Landon Hand Towel - an easy hand towel pattern worked in the moss stitch aka the linen stitch, which is comprised of simple single crochets and chains.
I use my hand towel purely for drying my hands and decoration, but if you use yours to clean up messes, keep in mind, they may stain your fabric.
Keep in mind that 100% cotton yarn will stretch while hung, and used. In a 6 month time period, my C2C hand towel stretched just under 2” in length. I didn’t measure it again after that (especially since it really didn’t matter to me), but if you want something that will keep it’s shape a little better, try using a blend of mostly cotton paired with acrylic or polyester (as long as not using with heated items) or wool.
There is also a video tutorial.

Materials:
- 460 Yards Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn - I used WeCrochet Dishie in Mushroom
- H8/5mm Hook for Body
- G6/4.25mm Hook for Border
- Tapestry Needle
- Optional, Jewelry Pliers
Material Notes:
Yarn Alternatives: Lily Sugar n Cream, Red Heart Smoothie, Lion Brand Re-Up, Premier Yarns Home Cotton (cotton/polyester blend)
I usually recommend jewelry pliers to use to help weave in ends, as cotton yarn can be quite tough on the fingers when weaving in with just fingers and a tapestry needle. Dishie Yarn is really smooth, and easy to weave the yarn in and out of.

Just over 6 hours
