Lanterns on a Pier is an easy-peasy and irresistibly adorable top down colourwork yoke pullover for kids. Worked in DK weight yarn, or alternatively in Worsted, with slightly elongated sleeves and length for extra coziness and growing with the child for longer wear enjoyment.

MATERIALS
Yarn: 2 (3, 3, 4, 4) (5, 5, 6, 7) balls of Drops Daisy (100% Merino, 50 g - 110 m / 120 yds), Marine Blue #18, of Colour A

and 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) (2, 2, 2, 3) ball(s) of Drops Daisy (100% Merino, 50 g - 110 m / 120 yds), Natural #01, of Colour B

or

225 (285, 330, 390, 445) (500, 545, 610, 715) m / 245 (310, 360, 425, 490) (545, 595, 665, 785) yds of DK weight yarn of Colour A

and 90 (110, 130, 150, 175) (195, 210, 235, 280) m / 95 (120, 140, 165, 190) (215, 230, 260, 305) yds of DK weight yarn of Colour B.

Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 and 4 mm / US 6 magic-loop / circular needle, or the sizes needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: 1 stitch marker, waste yarn or another type of stitches holder, and a tapestry needle.

GAUGE
22 sts x 33 rnds to 10 cm / 4” on 3.5 mm / US 4 needle in 1 x 1 rib after blocking.
20 sts x 30 rnds to 10 cm / 4” on 4 mm / US 6 needle in stockinette after blocking.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The sweater has a circular yoke construction and is worked top down in the round starting at the collar. Once the yoke is finished the stitches are divided for body and the sleeves. The body is worked first and is finished with a ribbed hem. Thereafter, the sleeves are worked one at a time. The length of the body and the sleeves are customisable and the instructions are written out in the pattern.
