Lara cowl is knitted in the round on circular needles, using simple stranded colourwork suitable for beginners.

Working in the round forms a tube (the circumference of the cowl), then the cast-on and cast-off edges are joined once you have finished knitting. This creates the cowl’s double thickness for extra warmth – with no ‘wrong side’ showing!
