My LAST MINUTE EASTER CHICKENS are easily worked, and perfect for your scrap yarn.
The bodies are knitted in the round.
Wings, comb, eyes and beak are embroidered.
Might work a mother’s heart on the belly - using cross stitches.

YARN
Yarn leftovers yardage approx 110 yds/ 100 m per 50 g
Choose the colors you prefer. I’ve used charcoal melange, light grey and pinks for the bodies - and red, orange, white and black for the embroidered details (eyes, beak, comb and heart)
TIP! You might otherwise use yarn of any yardage – but size of the chickens will change if you work in other yardage than specified.
The needle size should be lower than recommended for your yarn, to get a tight knitting, so the chickens will be steady and able to stand.
