Lat Cab has an interesting construction. The ribbing is worked in the round. The body of the hat begins with a provisional CO, is worked flat and joined to the ribbing every RS row. Once the body is complete, all of the ribbing sts have been joined to the body, and the CO edge and the last row are joined with a 3 needle BO.

The lateral cables are the star of this hat and make this hat a statement piece.

The crown is worked in the round in reverse stockinette stitch. Quick decreases draw the top of the hat together in short order.
Optionally, top the hat with a fur or yarn pom-pom.
